Just heard “Thank You For Saving Me” on Delirious’ Farewell Show album, and it brought back a flood of memories from when we played this song at Wheaton’s chapel. Man, that was a good team.
This was recorded on a lapel mic, attached to a MiniDisc player left on the stage floor. You may be able to hear me (just barely) on the acoustic guitar and backup vocals. The funniest part was no one was singing with us - Wheaton was pretty reserved back then (and probably still is now) - but clearly that did not matter.
